Paul Smith is an award-winning author who loves creating exciting adventures filled with brave animals, curious mysteries, and loyal friends. He is the author of “The Zoo” collection and the “Forest Friends Mysteries” series, where animal heroes work together to solve problems and help one another.
Before becoming an author, Paul worked as a nurse, caring for people and helping them feel better. When he stopped nursing, he began writing stories to cheer himself up—and soon discovered that his stories could cheer up other people, too!
Paul lives in Canada with his tiny, fluffy Yorkshire Terrier named Lily. Lily loves to curl up beside him while he writes and sometimes acts like his official “story assistant.” Paul is also left-handed, which makes him a little different from most writers—and he thinks being different makes life more interesting!
When he’s not writing, Paul enjoys dreaming up new adventures for his animal friends and sharing stories that remind readers that kindness, courage, and friendship can make the world a happier place.
